This session will review supplemental aids and current TEA guidelines regarding accommodations for special education students. Participants will learn how to read TEA guideline criteria and the difference between what is allowable during classroom instruction versus state assessments and best practices for instructional use of supplemental aids. This is appropriate for math teachers of all grade levels, especially those who serve students receiving special education services. Presentation Notes
For more than 10 years, Rita has served students for multiple districts as both a general and special education teacher in secondary science. She is currently serving as a Technology Design Coach for Austin ISD as a VILS coach for Sadler Means YWLA.
