Young learners are natural scientists. STEM education sparks a child’s interest in science, technology and math. The good news is you are probably already doing it!!! Children explore, discover, build, experiment, predict, hypothesize and integrate knowledge as they try to make sense of the world. STEM encourages developmentally appropriate instruction as children explore the world around them. As teachers you provide the stimulation, materials, and freedom to explore. In an early childhood classroom, teachers can use picture books to link STEM activities and create fun challenges that promote collaboration and critical thinking.
