Programming simple games with Scratch... and using them in your content areas.

Introducing Scratch to your students fosters 21st century skills you will want to develop in your classroom. And you can use this tool for all content areas too: students can create projects, explain facts, invent stories… using Scratch. In this session we will create some simple games we can use with our students to introduce the foundations of the Scratch programming language while we become familiar with the Scratch environment. These are the same games that our 3rd and 4th graders worked on during our Coding Club at McBee ES this year.

You may want to bring your own laptop to fully participate in the experience of basic game programming with Scratch!
