Number Sense in Kindergarten. The idea is to develop numbers sense in different ways so the student can be able to grasp the concept in one or more ways. This opportunities will develop not only number sense but fluency, and accuracy when working with numbers. Providing students with multiple opportunities and student center activities will make every child participate and want to work.  Building activities  to develop number sense will include from verbalizing numbers to identifying numbers, and matching the quantity to those numbers.  Having your number blocks such as fluency or calendar, number of the day, and Problem of the day,are all fundamental. When doing fluency or calendar including videos or exercising through counting makes the students get excited. The use of visuals also is also super important for our little friends, having a print rich environment does help students feel more helpful. The use of math mats does provide cueing when buiding number sense.
